Your Mission

At Dive, we are building a cloud-native, agent-native simulation platform that makes advanced heat and fluid simulation accessible to every mechanical engineer.
As a Backend Engineer, you'll build the systems that power this platform: developing reliable Python services, orchestrating complex simulation workflows, and creating interfaces that connect our product, engineering services, and AI agents. Working closely with software, product, and numerical engineers, you'll help turn complex simulation technology into a scalable product used by engineering teams around the world.



Your Responsibilities

  • You will develop and extend Python web services, with a strong emphasis on crafting efficient and robust business logic
  • You will build durable workflows using Temporal (temporal.io) to orchestrate and manage complex processes and interactions within our application
  • You will contribute to the design of software architectures, ensuring they are flexible, maintainable, and performant
  • You will enable our software to be used by AI agents

Your Qualifications

  • You have a degree in computer science, applied science, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience
  • You approach complex technical challenges with critical thinking, can reason about technical trade-offs, and contribute to architectural decisions
  • You have experience developing Python applications or services
  • You are familiar with relational databases such as PostgreSQL
  • You have some experience with APIs and service-to-service communication, such as REST
  • You prioritize your work effectively and build reliable, maintainable solutions
  • You are fluent in English
