Working Student CFD Validation (m/f/d)

Your Mission
Are you a passionate and ambitious student eager to apply your engineering knowledge in a real-world setting? Join our team as a CFD Validation student, where you'll play a crucial role in supporting the testing and validation of our in-house CFD solver. Collaborate closely in an agile environment ‍‍‍with our quality assurance (QA) team and numerical software engineers to ensure the robustness and quality of our product.
Your Responsibilities
  • You extend and maintain Python based testing frameworks to automate simulations, process data and analyze results.
  • You provide feedback to the numerical software development team to enhance quality and assure solver robustness.
  • You document test methodologies, outcomes, and insights for inclusion in technical reports and presentations.
  • You improve existing scripts to meet new requirements.
Your Qualifications
Must-have 
  • Currently enrolled in a Bachelor’s or Master’s program in Engineering, Physics, or a related field at a university in Berlin, with at least 1-2 years remaining in your studies. 
  • Proficiency in English
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills
  • Aptitude for root cause analysis and a methodical approach to problem-solving
  • Enthusiastic about technology and capable of working independently
  • Strong interest in learning and applying technical skills in a practical setting
 
Nice-to-have 

  • A solid foundation of Fluid Dynamics and Heat Transfer.
  • Familiarity with numerical methods for PDEs is beneficial
  • Experience with CAD, ParaView, and scripting (Python, MatLab, bash) is advantageous
  • Fluency in German is a plus.
